Shane Carroll - Business Advisory Manager
Shane is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland. He trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Anne Brady McQuillans DFK and went on to become the Business Advisory Manager.
Shane heads the Business Advisory Services Department providing services such as corporate finance, due diligence, business valuations, business plans, cash flow and budget analysis and the provisions necessary for entities considering a merger, takeover MBO and BIBO. In addition Shane heads the firms Outsourcing Department which provides outsourced bookkeeping, Vat RCT returns and RCT, payroll, thepreparation of management accounts and the accounts software selection and training.
Shane regularly acts for banks and other financial institutions in distressed situations and specialises in advising underperforming businesses. Shane has expertise in a number of industry sectors including retail, healthcare, pharmacies and franchising. Shane also regularly acts on behalf of public sector bodies in dealing with the Comptroller and Auditor General (C&AG).
Shane also has extensive knowledge of a variety of computerised accounting and payroll packages and has given numerous lectures for Chartered Accountants Ireland, Accounting Technicians Ireland, and the Enterprise Boards. Shane has worked in conjunction with the Accounting Technicians Ireland, where he has previously lectured and now acts as an external examiner for their IAS module. In 2009, Shane was awarded a certificate in Training and Continuing Education in 2009 from NUI.
Shane currently holds a position on the DFK UK and Ireland Marketing Committee.
